There are many ways to protect yourself in sticky situations, but Jocelyn Castillo’s go-to tool is, well, herself. After a career ending injury while training to become an MMA fighter, Jocelyn turned to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, or BJJ, to continue her passions. In this episode she sits down with the girls to dive into her life as a mechanical engineer by day, and personal safety advocate through BJJ by night. Jocelyn stresses the importance of situational awareness as well as being able to analyze and take the necessary steps to get out of any situation. Her passion for self defense then lead her to obtaining her permit to carry, and now she has set out to take as many firearm trainings as she can  and learn from many professionals to be well rounded in her endeavors.
